TLS signed “W. E. Atkinson,” one page, 8.5 x 11, Metro Pictures Corporation letterhead, November 26, 1919. Letter to C. J. Butler reads, in part: “I am enclosing herewith copy of a contract executed yesterday with Vincente Blasco Ibanez for the ‘Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse.’” In good condition, with paper loss to edges, punch holes to top edge, old tape repair to lower left, and scattered toning and creasing. Despite the flaws, the interesting aspect of this item is that it is the only known surviving example of letterhead from Metro Studios, the predecessor to MGM Studios. RRAuction COA.
