Description

Alfred Kinsey

Biologist (1894–1956) who in 1947 founded the Institute for Sex Research at Indiana University, and whose research on human sexuality created the modern field of sexology. TLS signed “Alfred C. Kinsey,” one page, 8.5 x 11, Indiana University letterhead, November 3, 1953. Kinsey writes Professor Robert C. Marsh at the State University of New York. In full: “I am interested in your question concerning Sheldon’s physical types. So far I know of no data that would attempt to correlate that with sexual activity. I have no reason to believe that your suggestion or any of the others that have come to us concerning physical types, is or is not correct. I do not see how you could possibly make any correlation with physical types and sexual activity unless you secured much more adequate sexual histories than Dr. Sheldon did in his studies.” Wrinkling and moderate staining causing brushing to the end of his signature and some ink transfer from another source, otherwise very good condition.
