Description

Channing Pollock

American playwright and critic (1880–1946). TLS, one page, 6.75 x 9.5, September 3, 1909. Pollock writes Fred Schraeder at the Hotel Orleans in New York City. In part: “Don’t think me a beast to have delayed so long in answering your letter. It reached me at a moment when I was pretty well up in the air, and I didn’t come down until this morning. Isn’t it great? Success, when you’ve waited for it ten years, is pretty delectable food. I did turn your note over to Mr. Muenster with the request that he send you seats at once, and I suppose that by now you have seen ‘Such a Little Queen.’” In very good condition, with intersecting folds with a vertical fold touching the first letter of his last name, tears along the fold lines and bottom edge, and uniform toning. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
