Three outstanding candid photos, each 4.25 x 3.25, each signed on the reverse in blue ballpoint, “Muhammad Ali.” According to the consignor these photos were taken on January 17, 1972, on the champ’s 30th birthday during a three-round exhibition match at Westchester Country Center in White Plains, New York. The first photo was taken as Ali headed to his dressing room, the second in his boxing robe waiting to be called out, and the third a blurry likeness of the boxer surrounded by fans. In fine condition, with the photos slightly curled, streaking to the emulsion on two photos, and surface impressions from Ali’s signature on the reverse of each. Unbelievably one-of-a-kind shots!
