Vellum DS, signed “J. Q. Adams,” one page, 14.5 x 8.75, April 22, 1825. President Adams grants Daniel W. Rofs of Ohio a tract of land in “the south west quarter of section twenty eight in township twenty two of range twenty in the District of Wooster and State of Ohio containing eighty acres.” Elaborately double matted with a 2 x 1 signature of Adams cut from a larger page and framed to an overall size of 27.25 x 16.75. Intersecting folds, heavy wrinkling, scattered toning and soiling, and irregular ink flow to his first initial on document, otherwise very good condition. The original seal, now faded to white, is affixed. A unique opportunity to obtain two signatures of the sixth president. Oversized. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
