Two one-page TLSs, both signed “Gwendolyn Brooks,” 8.5 x 11, dated December 11, 1950, and February 9, 1951, respectively. Both are to William Cole of the American Book Publishers Council in New York City. One reads in part: “I consider it a most exciting honor to be selected as a National Book Awards poetry judge, and I accept with pleasure.” In very good condition, with intersecting horizontal and vertical folds touching the bottom of her name on one page, a few creases, a small separations along one fold, and mild edge toning.
