Description

“In my opinion what makes this political game worth while is the loyal and unselfish support a candidate receives from his friends year after year”

TLS signed “Dick,” one page, 7 x 9, Office of the Vice President letterhead, April 18, 1953. Letter of thanks to a campaign worker. In part: “In preparing notes of appreciation to those who worked in the campaign last Fall I, of course, found your name on the list––hence the enclosed letter. The difficulty with such letters is that they always sound rather cold and formal no matter how hard you work on them. I just want you to know, however, that in my opinion what makes this political game worth while is the loyal and unselfish support a candidate receives from his friends year after year.” In fine condition, with staple hole to top left and a couple light wrinkles. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
