Three TLSs, signed “Mamie Doud Eisenhower,” from 1969, 1970, and 1971 on personal letterhead, sending thanks to the recipient for Christmas or Easter greetings. One reads in part: “Thank you for the lovely card which you sent to my husband and me before his death. I truly appreciate your thoughtfulness in remembering us.” Another reads in part: “My son and his wife and three of my grandchildren are all out of the country but I do have David and his wife, Julie, that I see often. The former, as you know, is in the Navy now but will be home for two weeks for Christmas at the White House. President and Mrs. Nixon have kindly asked me to have Christmas dinner with them so I will have the opportunity of seeing my beloved David. It is lonesome living here at the farm because there is so much of the General here as he adored this place.” The third reads in part: “President and Mrs. Nixon had invited me to Camp David for the long Easter weekend as David and Julie were going to be there, as well as Tricia and her fiance.” Two have brief handwritten sentiments from Mrs. Eisenhower. In fine condition. Accompanied by two of the original mailing envelopes. RRAuction COA.
