Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 17.5 x 14, March 29, 1916. President Wilson appoints W. Irving Williams to the position of Postmaster of Rensselaer, New York. Signed at the conclusion by Wilson, and countersigned by Postmaster General Albert Burleson. Uniform toning, some scattered damp staining to edges, and a lightly trimmed right edge, otherwise fine condition. The gold foil seal is creased and worn, but intact. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
