A 1956 car accident which left him disfigured set him on a downward spiral of substance abuse that earned him a reputation for unreliability and led to his death at the age of 45. Rare vintage glossy 8 x 10 Paramount Pictures 1950 publicity photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Norma, Montgomery Clift.” In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creases and surface marks, staple holes to borders and top corners, some mild border toning, and a few spots to emulsion.
