Vintage matte-finish 3.5 x 5.5 photo of an older Ruth, in his Yankees road uniform, apparently standing in the outfield, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Harold Myers, Sincerely, Babe Ruth.” In very good condition, with a few mild ripples, image a bit blurry, a very thin strip of adhesive along left edge, and a small chip and surface loss to left edge as well. Accompanied by an identical size backing, notated in an unknown hand, “Taken at St. Louis, June 24, 1933.” Records indicate the Yankees were in the midst of a five game series against the St. Louis Browns at Sportsman’s Park. Two weeks later, Ruth would hit the first home run in All Star Game history. An uncommon pose with a crisp and prominent signature. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
