Grace Moore

Internationally famous star of the Metropolitan Opera, Broadway, motion pictures, radio and recordings (1898–1947) was also known as, and played, ‘The Tennessee Nightingale.’ She died tragically in an airplane crash in 1947. It has been claimed that Elvis Presley's ‘Graceland’ mansion was named in honor of her. Elegant vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Moore in profile, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul from Grace Moore.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of May 18, 1935, the date the signature was acquired. In fine condition, with a few trivial surface marks. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
