Helen Kane

Popular singer (1904–1966) whose voice and appearance were a likely source for animator Grim Natwick when creating Betty Boop. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in-person in green fountain pen “To Saul, Sincerely, Helen Kane Boo Boop a do.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s ink date notation of July 15, 1954, the date the signature was acquired. In very good condition, with scattered creases, surface marks, and impressions, with some to facial area. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
