Comedy star (1881–1951) best remembered for his two-reelers dating back to the early 1930s and for his appearances opposite Lupe Velez in the ‘Mexican Spitfire’ features of the early 1940s. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul, Best always, Leon Errol.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of January 12, 1937, the date the signature was acquired. A few scattered creases and surface marks, and some scattered light toning to image and background, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
