Mary Carlisle

Actress (born in 1912) who was discovered by Carl Laemmle, Jr., while eating lunch at the Universal Pictures commissary. She retired from films in 1942 and later began a second career as the manager of the Elizabeth Arden Salon in Beverly Hills. Vintage pearl-finish 8 x 10 double weight Clarence Sinclair Bull MGM publicity photo of Carlisle for In The Bag, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Saul, Sincerely, Mary Carlisle.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of January 22, 1936, the date the signature was acquired, as well as an MGM promotional caption. In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
