Edna Best

British actress (1900–1974) best remembered for her role as the mother in the original 1934 film version of Alfred Hitchcock's The Man Who Knew Too Much. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 GB Pictures promotional photo for The Man Who Knew Too Much, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul, Edna Best.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of July 12, 1940, the date the signature was acquired. A few scattered dings and creases, and a bit of light silvering to darker areas of image, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
