Actor, screenwriter, director and producer (1883–1939). He was best known for his swashbuckling roles in silent films such as The Thief of Bagdad, Robin Hood, and The Mark of Zorro. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of the actor in a double-breasted suit, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul, Douglas Fairbanks.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s notation date of October 1934, the date the signature was acquired.
