Pseudonym of the poet and translator Paul Antschel, one of the major German-language poets of the post-World War II era. Signed book: Bateau Ivre (Das Trunkene Schiff). First edition, first printing. Frankfurt: Insel-Verlag, 1958. Hardcover, 5.5 x 9. Signed and inscribed to a noted British translator and poet, on the second free end page, in German, (translated): “To Michael Hamburger in December 1960. Paul Celan.” In fine condition.
