Singer Helen Kane (circa 1903–1966), best known for the 1920s hit "I Wanna Be Loved by You," was the inspiration for the cartoon character Betty Boop. Kane sued the Fleischer Studios over the character, charging unfair competition and wrongful appropriation of her distinctive singing voice, but was unsuccessful. Actress and voice-over artist Mae Questel (1908–1998) was the original voice of Betty Boop, from 1931 to 1939, reprising the role for a cameo in the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Two vintage in-person ink signatures and inscriptions on individual off-white 5 x 3 cards: "To Tommy, Boop Boop a Doop, Helen Kane"; and "To Ken, 'Boops' to you, Mae Questel," with small magazine photo affixed to top of card. In fine condition. RRAuction COA.
