Queen Consort to Edward VII of England (1844–1925) and mother of George V. ALS signed "Alexandra," one page, 6.5 x 9.25, black-bordered Marlborough House letterhead, February 1919. Letter in her difficult to decipher hand, which appears to be a general letter of thanks, reads, inpart: "As the time is now drawing near for the work of my Field Force Fiend to come to an end. I wish to thank all those who have contributed with such…generosity towards its needs." In fine condition, with pencil notations to top and bottom edge, and a bit of scattered light toning and soiling. RRAuction COA.
