Popular big band leader (1904–1944). In 1942, Miller joined the U.S. Air Force and organized the Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band to entertain the troops. In December 1944, on a flight from England to Paris, the plane Miller was traveling in disappeared over the English Channel and was never found. Vintage fountain pen signature and inscription, 'To Thelma, Sincerely, Glenn Miller,' on an off-white 4.5 x 4.5 album page, with collector’s notations under Miller’s signature.
