Governor Henry signs a 1786 land grant

Partly printed DS as Governor of Virginia, signed 'P. Henry,' one page on vellum, 15 x 12, August 14, 1786. A grant for a parcel of land issued to John Callaway and John McClure. Double cloth matted and framed, with a portrait and engraved plaque, to an overall size of 29.5 x 20.75. Intersecting folds, light soiling and staining, a few small holes, and last letter of signature slightly lighter than the rest (though clearly visible). The document bears the remnants of an official Virginia seal. A presentable example from one of America’s greatest patriots. Oversized. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
