Pro and College Football Hall of Famer who joined the NFL's Brooklyn Dodgers in 1938 and his weight eventually went to 215 pounds--still light for a tackle, but he retained his iron-man reputation, often playing 60 minutes a game. During his nine-year professional career, he missed just one game, when a hand infection turned into gangrene and doctors refused to let him play. Three items: an ALS, written on the reverse of a fan letter to Kinard on a 7.25 x 5, lightly-lined page. In part: 'At your request I am mailing you and your brother an autographed photo.'; a lightweight glossy 4.5 x 5.75 photo of Kinard in his uniform, signed in blue felt tip; and a mailing envelope, addressed in Kinard’s hand, with his signature appearing in the return address area. In fine condition, with folds to letter and envelope. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA for the envelope. RRAuction COA.
