Silent film's Comedy King

Film comedian during the silent era, at the time considered a ‘Comedy King,’ but now mainly remembered for working with both Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy before they started working together. Semon is also known for directing, as well as appearing, in the 1925 silent film the Wizard of Oz. Vintage matte-finish 7 x 9 Porter S. Cleveland portrait photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen 'Best regards to Adolph Newton Sutro, Larry Semon.' In fine condition, with lightly trimmed edges, a bit of scattered light silvering, and minor contrast to last name of signature. This is an extremely rare autograph and the first one we have ever offered. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
