James Monroe

Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 13 x 8.5, April 24, 1819. President Monroe grants a tract of land to George Kinder and Sandy Shoots in Ohio. Signed at the conclusion by Monroe and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office Josiah Meigs. Matted and framed with a color portrait of Monroe to an overall size of 24.5 x 14. Two vertical folds, one through a single letter of signature, and some scattered light toning and foxing, otherwise fine condition. The white seal is slightly worn, but intact. Oversized. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
