Author, suffragette, dramatist, poet, and biographer (1819–1910), best remembered as the lyricist of ‘Battle Hymn of the Republic.’ ALS, two pages on two adjoining sheets, 4 x 6, April 19, 1900. In part: 'You are most kind in inviting me to your house. I only hope that I may not cause you any trouble or inconvenience by my visit. I remember your Grandmother very well, and also your Aunt.'
