In part: “I am already finding my time in India a stimulating experience. It is a country with a great deal of vitality and much is always happening–both good and bad. I had the pleasure of a half hour discussion with Rajiv Gandhi and was most impressed–he seems gentle but firm with a wide general knowledge and much commonsense.
