American general (1859–1931) known as the first Chief of the Bureau of Insular Affairs and for commanding the 26th Division in World War I. DS, signed “C. R. Edwards,” in his capacity as major general commanding the First Corps Area, one page, 5.25 x 4, 1922. In full: “Presented to Student Frank C. Mauer, Co. A, 3d Bn.
