TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, January 29, 1966. The father of astronaut Pete Conrad writes Richard Tannery at the Manned Space Center in Houston. In part: “Thank you very much for the large port-folio you just sent containing the Gemini 5 Flight pictures of Pete and the other material. When and if you get time, I will appreciate it if you would send me at least a dozen of the Fact Sheet No. 291…with a story of the Gemini 5 Flight. Also, if you will, there is quite a good picture of Pete in his space suit, if you could locate some of them…I am sorry to report I’m still in poor health. I wish you, Patty and Julia were here to take of the old man. I understand Pete is the Back-up Command Pilot of Gemini 8 and is due in the Cape about the 6th of February.” In very good condition, with creasing, torn upper left corner, staining, and soiling.
