Sousa pens four bars from ‘The Stars and Stripes Forever,’ signing underneath, “John Philip Sousa.” Central horizontal and vertical fold, a uniform shade of mild toning, and mild mirroring of signature from premature folding, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, as well as a news clipping regarding Sousa’s birthday celebration at the Hippodrome.
