Rare signed photo of the tarnished silent star Mabel Normand

Popular Silent-Era actress (1892-1930) who, after a colorful career that included a number of scandals, died of tuberculosis at age 37. Scarce vintage matte-finish 7.5 x 9.5 photo of an artist’s portrait of Normand, signed and inscribed in green fountain pen “To Mr. J. B. McKeller, Sincerely, Mabel Normand.” In fine condition, with lightly trimmed edges. Throughout the 1920s her name was linked with widely publicized scandals including the 1922 murder of William Desmond Taylor and the 1924 shooting of Courtland S. Dines, who was shot by Normand's chauffeur with her pistol. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
