Agreement between several New York State landowners and the New York Central and Hudson River Rail Road Company as the company seeks to acquire "the right to remove said last mentioned drawbridge and to replace the same by a permanent bridge to be constructed without a draw so as to avoid interruption and delay…of said trains." Signed on the second page by all of the involved parties including Vanderbilt as vice president. In very good condition, with areas of paper separation along the left side of the compacting folds, and even light toning with ten heavier spots of toning from seals affixed on the opposite page.
