Metal and steel wool brush used in the Lunar Receiving Laboratory. Metal brush bears what appears to be steel wool bristles at the end, which appear to have scrubbed many moon rocks, and is etched with “SP-006, S/N 002,” on one side. Brush was engineered and designed to remain sterile in the laboratory environment. Brush is accompanied by its pale yellow original plastic bag, bearing a red Lunar Receiving Laboratory label noting that the brush was cleaned for service on December 2, 1971. The first such brush we have seen. RRAuction COA.
