Susan B. Anthony

Pioneering American social activist (1820–1906) who was one of the leading figures in early feminism and whose efforts on behalf of women’s suffrage were instrumental in the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920. Ink signature, “Yours respectfully, Susan B. Anthony, Rochester—N.Y., Nov. 26, 1901,” on an off-white 4.5 x 2.75 slip. Clipped top right corner, small tear to top left corner, and a bit of scattered light toning, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
