Original final flight plan from the historic Apollo 11 mission, 8 x 10.5, 294 pages. The cover is signed in blue felt tip by Jack Jones, who was involved in various space flights and missions including Apollo. In fine condition, with normal wear, evidence of a name erasure above Jones’s signature, staining to the edges of the first several pages, and a few words added to one page. As mankind’s first lunar landing mission, the flight plan for Apollo 11 was among the most important of all documents prepared by NASA, and was considered by the crew as the most important document related to the success of their mission. The lengthy plan provided the crew with a time schedule of activities and spacecraft maneuvers. According to the consignor, this is the only known copy ever made available to the public to include all of the last-minute amendments in the form of extra pages. A rare opportunity to acquire a complete, official document from the first moon mission. Pre-certified Scott Cornish and RRAuction COA.
