Description

Armstrong and six other X-15 pilots sign a photo of their aircraft benefitting the Flight Test Historical Foundation Museum

Glossy 10 x 8 photo of an X-15 about to land on the tarmac, signed vertically in black felt tip by William Knight (1929–2004), Milt Thompson (b. 1926), Bob White (b. 1924), Neil Armstrong (b. 1930), Joe Engle (b. 1932), Bill Dana (b. 1930), and Scott Crossfield (1921–2006). In fine condition. This photo was signed as part of a fund raising effort by two individuals on behalf of the Flight Test Historical Foundation Museum at Edwards AFB. The effort ran from 1991 to 1993. They had full approval and access to the negative collections. Using their own funds these two had photos printed and mailed them to each of the seven surviving X-15 pilots. Pre-certified Scott Cornish and RRAuction COA.
