Quarantine menu for the Apollo 11 crew, Day 6, 7.5 x 11, signed on the front cover in black felt tip by Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. In fine condition, with some light skipping to Collins’s signature due to texture of cover. Accompanied by a letter of provenance stating the menu originally came from Buzz Aldrin’s collection, and subsequently signed by Collins at the 25th anniversary dinner for Apollo 11, and signed in 1996 by Armstrong at a cocktail party at the Richmond Forum. Upon their return to Earth, the Apollo 11 crew spent 21 days in quarantine aboard the USS Hornet, as at that time, there was a remote chance pathogens could have been brought back from the lunar surface to the Earth, and NASA took every precaution to avoid any contamination during the recovery. A very scarce, and possibly unique, memento from man’s first landing on the moon. Pre-certified Scott Cornish and RRAuction COA.
