“I have a colored photo with the ‘Enola Gay’ and ‘Bockscar’ in one photo. It’s very unique!”

Two items: ALS, one page, 8.5 x 11, March 9, 1998. Letter to a collector of war photography. In part: “I have a few photos I could send you I don’t see on your wall…The price is $6.00 a photo, about what I pay for them…Sounds like you have an interesting collection with Bucher and such. I also have photos of the ‘Enola Gay’ crew, if you are interested…I have a colored photo with the ‘Enola Gay’ and ‘Bockscar’ in one photo. It’s very unique!;” and a glossy 8 x 10 photo of Olivi in the cockpit, signed and inscribed, “To John Ivan Huscha. Much Happiness and Health. Fred J. Olivi. Co-pilot B-29 ‘Bockscar’ Nagasaki 9 Aug 1945.” He has added at the bottom of the image, “1945 Lt. Fred. J. Olivi at the controls of B-29 ‘Great Artiste’ Over Tinian Island South Pacific.” In overall fine condition with a light horizontal mailing fold to the letter. RRAuction COA.
