Accompanied by a January 8, 1929, TLS from Coolidge’s secretary to Reverend Edgar Thomas Read, who had asked for a letter from Coolidge for his son. In part: “We are quite overwhelmed with requests of this kind…I am sure you will understand and that the boy will be satisfied with the enclosed autographed card.” Also accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
