Brilliant but controversial German filmmaker (1902–2003) whose ties with and glorification of the Nazi regime would dog her legacy for the remainder of her life. Her best-known films include Triumph of the Will (1934), a propaganda film documenting the 1934 Party rally in Munich, and Olympia, a striking documentary on the 1936 Olympic Games. Vintage matte-finish 3.5 x 5.5 postcard photo of Riefenstahl with her eyes cast downward, signed in fountain pen along the bottom white border.
