Uncommon ALS signed “Steiglitz,” three pages on two adjoining sheets, 5 x 6.5, August 24, 1915. Steiglitz writes from Lake George to Horace Tranbel. In part: “Possibly the most lovable Lake on Earth greets you—It is more than human if one knows it as I do…through childhood until now. It sends you…to help along another lovable very human thing—The Conservator. It understands its needs.” In fine condition, with partial separation along hinge, and a uniform shade of toning.
