Irish politician, army general and commander in chief, leader of Fine Gael and Cabinet Minister. He fought in the 1916 Easter Rising, served as Chief of Staff of the Irish Republican Army during the War of Independence and was commander of the pro-treaty forces in the Irish civil war. Vintage sepia glossy 4.25 x 5.75 full-length photo of Mulcahy in uniform, signed in blue fountain pen in the lower right corner. In very good to fine condition, mounted to a heavy piece of cardstock, with lightly trimmed edges, a few small surface scratches, and skipping to one letter of his surname.
