Uncommon photo of the Nobel Prize-winning insulin discoverer

Canadian physician and researcher (1891–1941) who shared the 1923 Nobel Prize in Medicine for his role in the discovery of insulin. Scarce 4 x 6 Milne portrait of Banting in suit and tie, signed “F. G. Banting” in fountain pen on the mount beneath the image. In fine condition. Not common in signed photographs. Provenance: The Barry Hoffman Collection. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
