Diminutive second baseman for the Chicago Cubs, he was the cornerstone in the legendary Tinker-Evers-Chance double-play combination. Vintage ink signature, “John J. Evers,” on an off-white 3 x 1.25 lightly-lined trimmed card. Card is affixed to a slightly larger black card, which is in turn affixed to an 8.5 x 11 biographical sheet. In fine condition, with a uniform shade of mild toning. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
