Italian composer (1863–1945) whose 1890 masterpiece ‘Cavalleria Rusticana’ takes a place among the most beloved staples of the operatic repertoire. Vintage sepia 6.5 x 7.25 (possibly trimmed) photo, stamped Guigoni & Bossie, Milano, signed in the upper right in fountain pen, and adding “Milano, Aprile del ‘95,” to the lower left. Photo also bears a “Prof. Dr. G. de Luca, Buenos Aires,” stamp above photographer’s stamp.
