Description

Elvis signs for a die-hard fan

Vintage ballpoint signature and inscription, “To Bette, Thanks very much for your help, Elvis Presley,” on the reverse of an 8 x 10 lightweight full-length publicity photo of Elvis in a gold suit. Matted to an overall size of 11.75 x 14. In fine condition, with some scattered light creases and wrinkles to signed portion, as well as some staining and surface loss to right of signature. Front of photo rates very good, with a horizontal crease and scattered creasing and wrinkling. Betty Grant first met Elvis in 1957 and told her story to ‘Jailhouse Rocker News.’ The signature is accompanied by a photocopy of the first page of the newsletter featuring a photo of Grant and Presley together.
