Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania (1742–1798). In 1789, he became one of the original nine justices appointed by Washington to the Supreme Court. Partial ADS, signed in the text, one page, 7.75 x 2, no date. Portion of a larger financial agreement reads: “…of seventy thousand dollars in specie shall have been paid to him the said James Wilson by the said John Bishop and Mark Bird ….” In fine condition, with a uniform shade of mild toning.
