Only recently I was assured by Mr. Catard that the proofs were going to be ready in the month of May and were being sent to me. But I still have not received them. Please excuse my impatience and accept the assurance of my perfect esteem.” After his signature, Moniuszko also adds a postscript which reads, “I shall send you the 200 francs I owe you for the copies of the Litany at the beginning of January. It is then that my accounts with the libraries will be settled.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds, and a bit of light toning and soiling.
