Martin Van Buren

Partly-printed DS as president, signed “M. Van Buren,” one page, 7.5 x 7, December 15, 1837. Van Buren orders the secretary of state to “affix the seal of the United States to the order for the pardon of John Williams.” Archivally double matted and framed with a seated portrait of Van Buren and a name plaque to an overall size of 21.5 x 16.5. In fine condition, with expected folds, and a thin area of toning to top right. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
