Monet cashes in from one of his sales

Highly influential French painter (1840–1926) who was among the leading figures of the impressionist movement, which took its name from the title of one of Monet’s works. ALS in French, one page, 4.5 x 5.75, personal letterhead, February 28, 1920. Letter to “Sir of Duruer Tres”. In full: “Just a note to acknowledge the receipt of your check of 40,000 francs and to thank you for the articles that you sent me which I will inspect. You have bought a lot at this sale.” Impressively double gilt matted and framed inside a print of one of his works to an overall size of 42 x 22. In fine condition, with a few lines of text a shade or two light, but all completely legible. Oversized. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
